For the first event, the PokerStars.com UK and Ireland Poker Tour comes to Galway - part of the Irish Poker Championship. Sponsors PokerStars.com is honoured for the UKIPT to join the successful IPC for this event. Galway is the perfect place for discovering serene waterways and a thriving Irish culture.
This will be PokerStars.com’s first visit to Galway and the event will take place at the Radisson Hotel, December 11 - 14, 2009 and is part of a four-day poker championship.
The Main Event of UKIPT Galway will feature a €2,000 buy-in and will be capped at 400. As ever, there will also be live satellites to the Main Event.
Welcome Party
The welcome party for Galway will take place on December 10 in the hotel's Atrium Bar at 8.00pm. Come raise a glass to the launch of the UKIPT at a free bar - the perfect way to relax before a hard day on the felt. An invite only celebrity sit and go will also run so you could be rubbing shoulders with the stars.
